Playing on a team without individual training is like taking a test without studying. You’re just hoping you’re good enough.
Team play is where you apply your skills.
Training sessions are where you develop them.

We evaluate all of our players in our programs, so regardless of where you sign-up we will help get you to the right program.
If you are new to basketball, signing up for the EYBA Development program is a great way to start!
If you are playing for your local community program in Tier 1, 2 or 3 (or have played club basketball in the spring before) you should sign up for EYBA Elite+ programs!
If you are not looking for a group setting, but want to focus entirely on your own weaknesses. The personal training is a great place to start.
If you are a good basketball player, YOU DEFINITELY should sign up for the CB Academy tryouts. It is short-term program that everyone should try and be a part of.

As previously mentioned, our coaches evaluate all of our athletes in the program. If we think a different program is a better fit, we will reach out and work out the rebates we offer to ensure every athlete is in the right program for their best development!

Everyone should be playing on a basketball team while training, in order to apply the learned skills to real game situations. Training is designed to get the proper repetitions to execute in games. To play on teams follow the EYBA Pathway:
FALL Season

Canada Basketball Academy
WINTER Season
EYBA Community league
School basketball
SPRING Season

Provincial Team Tryouts (to represent your province at Nationals)
Make sure if you are joining a club, you do proper research to ensure the program is a good organization and fit for your family. Many clubs are not regulated through Basketball Alberta.
